Baroque trumpets, timpani, strings and oboes join twenty-five jubilant voices in a summertime recap of Trinity Bach Project's 2025-26 season finale “Bach & Wings," with a program touching the theme of Christ’s ascension and sheltering care. J. S. Bach's Cantata BWV 137 Lobe den Herren, den mächtigen König der Ehren explores variations on Joachim Neander’s 1680 hymn, while Cantata BWV 43 Gott fähret auf mit Jauchzen revisits the heroic drama of Easter from grand perspective. Rich choral works by Byrd, Sweelinck, Stanford, Shaw, and Friesen round out the 70-minute program.
